Hardtail conversion question

Hello! I'm thinking about buying a sportster an want to do a hardtail. I wonder if anybody have done something similar in finland and could explain a little about the registration etc. If you buy a hardtail from usa for example and weld it on. And yes, im from finland but i'm not so good with the finnish language, i live in one of the swedishspeaking towns. Thank you in advance!

You have to have it tested by Tastmill, for braking, and then go to muutoskatsastus.

Thank you! Do you happen to have any idea on how much it would cost, and can you weld it yourself or do you need a certified welder to do it?

You can do it yourself, inspection may ask how did you weld it. The braketest cost about 500€ and the muutoskatsastus about 100€.
